H.B. 3917 caps liability for utility caused wildfires and Oregonians who are burned up get 80% of the pre-fire value of their home, which will never be enough to rebuild. People who lose everything will get a small amount for their pain and suffering.

The fund is grossly under-capitalized, funding is voluntary and the regulator is underpowered and compromised in its ability to ensure accountability for Oregon.

How will you rebuild your home, your life, if it is destroyed by a utility-caused wildfire?

Why are legislators choosing to protect billionaires and trillion-dollar corporations who burn up Oregon towns, kill people and destroy our forests?

DOES IT MAKE SENSE FOR OREGONIANS TO PAY WHEN POWER UTILITIES BURN HOMES, BUSINESSES AND OUR FORESTS UP?

NO - WE URGE A NO VOTE ON H.B. 3917!
